ATLANTA, GA – April 2, 2009 – itaas, Inc. announced today an agreement that provides support for applications developed for Cox Communications’ tru2way™ and enhanced television (ETV) implementation via the itaas istart Developer Program. This program provides support services for application developers that wish to create, launch, and test interactive applications for Cox cable systems across the U.S. This would include support for Enhanced Binary Interface Format (EBIF) applications using the Aptiv guide on both Motorola and Cisco set-top boxes. Future support for applications on the tru2way platform using the Cox interactive program guide (IPG) is planned as well.
This new agreement enables itaas to provide expertise and resources to developers to create new and compelling EBIF and tru2way applications. Developers who join the istart Cox video services platform support program will gain access to development tools, documentation, software upgrades, and support for the Cox platform. Additionally, companies can engage itaas for assistance in architecture, design, development, and testing of new applications.
