This opportunity involves playing an essential role in delivering development assistance and tech support for customers developing systems and software in the consumer set top box product space.
Requirements
- Five plus years’ experience in one of the following fields: hardware, software, computer, electrical, etc.
- 2 plus yrs. applications experience.
- Embedded development experience in both hardware and software
- Aptitude in C and common supporting languages (python, make systems, perl,).
- Good familiarity of the Linux Operating System as both a development environment and an embedded Operating System.
- Experienced in comprehending both hardware architecture and
software architecture and have good familiarity of set top box systems
particularly related to Cable technologies and including industry standard middlewares ie OCAP.
- Prior work in Audio/Video related projects.
- Aptitude in Linux debugging skills both in kernel space, User space, as well as RTOS
debugging capabilities on embedded firmwares.
- Good familiarity of industry accepted Software development practices and
tools is mandatory.
- Superb organizational skills including time management and planning as well
as the proven ability to lead a team development project.
- Strong problem solving capabilities and critical thinking are required as well as written and oral communication skills
